Part of the Covington Catholic mission statement commits to 'educating young men socially'. We recognize our responsibility to educate our students how to conduct themselves in a social situation and to recognize the value of making life long friendships with not only their fellow classmates, but of all ages, races and of course, females.
There are many opportunities throughout the Colonel's school year to participate in social activities that engage them with interaction with their classmates within the classroom and through extracurricular activities. Whether it be Frisbee competition after school, wheel barrel races at lunchtime, or school sponsored trips in the summer, there is something for everyone to get involved with to make new friends.
Known for our "Spirit that will not Die....", our football and basketball games always prove to be highly anticipated events for our students. Our Student Senate establishes 'themes' for each game in which students are encouraged to dress to the theme and join the Colonel Crazies cheering section. Our student pride is truly an enjoyable experience for all.
The school also sponsors mixers and dances in which our students can invite young ladies to join them for an evening of dance and camaraderie.
Homecoming - Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors are invited to attend the Homecoming Dance in the CCH Gymnasium the evening following the homecoming game.
Freshman Halloween Bash - Our freshman class joins the NDA freshman class at the CCH Gymnasium for a fun costume party and the opportunity to meet new friends.
Freshman/Sophomore Winter Dance (formerly Valentine Dance) - All students have the opportunity to bring their date to the Winter Dance held at St. Pius X Hall on March 12, 2016 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Junior & Senior Prom - The highly anticipated Jr/Sr prom will be held at Paul Brown Stadium on April 9, 2016.
There will also be other opportunities to attend mixers at CCH and at Notre Dame Academy throughout the year.
