BUSY WEEKEND FOR COVCATH

This Saturday, Covington Catholic will be hosting several major events. Coach Ruthsatz will be hosting the first ever Basketball Coach's clinic at the NDA gym, an event open to the public and one that we need to make sure a good crowd is in attendance.  The golf program is having it's annual Steve Flesch Invitational at Boone Links in which 20 top high school teams from Ohio and Ky will be competing.  The cross country team is hosting the 44th CCH Cross Country Invitational in Devou Park, and the football team will be hosting the Beechwood Tigers here at Wooten Field at 1:00.  I almost forgot, its also Reunion Weekend when several class reunions of alumni will be on campus watching the game and celebrating their reunions in the Griffin Centre!

Your support of these events is needed and greatly appreciated. It's a great weekend to offer to volunteer your help by contacting any of the coaches/coordinators of these events.  Put on your Blue and attend one or all of these events!

PSAT IN OCTOBER WILL DETERMINE NEXT YEAR'S NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS

On October 12, the Sophomore and Junior classes will take the PSAT, a standardized test for the National Merit Scholars Program.  The National Merit program is one of the largest distributors of college scholarships granting millions of dollars to graduating seniors. While many students worry more about ACT scores for college admission with prep classes, we encourage students to also prepare for the PSAT to increase their scores for possible scholarship opportuniites, and of course the honorable distinction of being a National Merit Scholar. The PSAT is the pre-test to the SAT's that many colleges require.

There are many study aids available through the school's link to Amazon. Below are a few that you many consider (be sure to click on the links below or start your search through the school's link on the homepage so that CCH receives credit for your order):
