Volunteers needed for a few hours:
If anyone is available to help stuff invitations for Back the Blue at CCH next Tuesday morning, October 10th from 8:00 am to about 10am we can certainly use your help!! Volunteers will be in the main conference room, down the long hall past the chapel (the door is on the left hand side). Even if you can just come for an hour or so, that would be great. Please let Jennifer Lenihan (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you plan on coming so we know how many volunteers to expect. Thank you!

PRO-LIFE MOVIE NIGHT
Title: To Save A Life
date: Monday October 9th at 6:00 pm.
Place: Covington Catholic High School, Main building in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Description: A story about the most popular kid at school who has a promising future in college basketball. His future is rocked when tragedy strikes his childhood best friend. He is forced to ask the question, "Could I have saved him?" With help from a few new friends, he embarks on a journey to live a life of purpose, knocking down the sacred social barriers of high school life and befriending a loner, Jonny Garcia. But when Jonny's life spirals out of control will Jake have what it takes to stop him from the same tragic end? Can one person really make a difference?
This film is favorite of mine for it brings in issues of alcohol drinking, sex outside of marriage and the consequences, abortion, bullying, clicks, parent-child relationship, suicide, youth groups, faith, lying, and much more. Great for follow-up classroom discussions.
Length: 120 minutes
Open to the public – all schools invited, parents, families, etc.
Great Extra Credit Assignment: Have students write a short ½ page reflection paper on what they were able to take away from the movie to improve and/or change their lives.
Cost of Admission: FREE!
Food and Drinks are permitted. Must be careful and clean up after the movie.

AMAZON REWARDS - Don't forget to use the Amazon link on the CCH website and on the bottom of this email when ordering from Amazon. It costs nothing extra to you and CCH gets credit for the sale. So far this year we have been able to get an industrial size shredder and have replaced the refrigerator in the faculty dining room.
If you prefer to send your son's lunch money to school instead of using the online payment method, please have him drop his money in the box on the counter of the main office first thing in the morning. This helps to speed up the lunch line.
