- National Blue Ribbon School (2016 & 2007); 1 of 2 KY high schools in 2016

- Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering curriculum; a PLTW "Distinguished" school for four consecutive years (1 of only 33 high schools nationwide with this distinction).
Spiritual and Service
SPIRITUAL & SERVICE
Mass
- Weekly Mass, twice-weekly rosary services, and twice-weekly reconciliation are available; the entire school attends a monthly Mass and twice per year penance service.
Adoration

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is offered every 1st Friday of the month during school beginning with the end of Mass at 7:30am and ending with Benediction at 3pm.
Retreats
- All underclassmen attend a “Day of Reflection” in the Spring
- Seniors participate in a multi-day “Senior Retreat” at St. Anne's Convent.
- Sophomores may attend week-long (summer) retreat trips to Wyoming.
March for Life
- Annually, students have the opportunity to attend the March for Life in Washington, DC.
Community Service
- 100% of the Covington Catholic student body participates in community service each year, and can earn a varsity letter for service. 60 hours are required for graduation.
- 2020 Senior Class completed over 15,000 hours of service in their four years at CCH
Other
- Additional spiritual and civic experiences take place, such as a visit by the Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and a regional Naturalization ceremony.

ACT
Scores are consistently above the national and state overall average as well as the male average. For example:

Six students since 2013 have earned the highest possible composite score of 36 (a "perfect" score) on the ACT.
National Merit
- Three students from 2020 & 2021 were National Merit Finalists; seven students were 2020 Commended Students.
AP
- In 2019, seven courses had passing rates (scores of >3) of >80%, with an overall passing rate of 74%. The Kentucky and National passing rates are 53% and 61%, respectively.
- 47 Covington Catholic students were named AP Scholars in 2019.

Three curriculum levels: Honors/AP, College Prep I and College Prep II/III.
In addition to 13 Advanced Placement courses, as well as STEM courses with dual credit opportunities, CovCath offers a variety of Dual Credit courses via partnerships with Northern Kentucky University (School Based Scholars Program) and Gateway Community and Technical College.
Academic Support
CCH has an Academic Support Program to provide additional educational assistance. 35 students in grades 9-12 are enrolled in the program for 2021-22.

Overall Campus
32-acre campus in Park Hills (2 miles from Brent Spence Bridge) includes the academic center, the gymnasium, the Knochelman Building, the Schott Sports Center, the Yung Family Tennis Complex, Tom Berger Field, Wooten Field at Dennis Griffin Stadium, the Dr. Anthony R. Zembrodt STEM and Fine Arts Center, and the Drees Student and Alumni Center. A $12.5 Million expansion/renovation was completed in 2019.
Technology
CovCath utlizes a 1:1 computing platform, and all students in grades 9-12 have a common device (mandatory). Teachers have been trained to utilize the devices within their curriculum and teaching strategy. We have three computer labs: the CAD Lab; and two STEM Labs. We also have multiple computers in our academic support classrooms. In addition, we have 3D printers, a copier for graphic design, Sharp Touchscreen Displays, a Promethean Display, projectors/smartboards in the classroom.

STEM
CCH is 1 of only 2 Catholic High School in Kentucky to offer the Engineering curriculum of Project Lead the Way (PLTW; an organization that delivers world-class STEM curriculum and professional development models to more than 12,200 schools across all 50 states). With 4 PLTW-certified teachers, CovCath was 1 of only 5 high schools in Kentucky to be named a 2020-21 PLTW Distinguished School, and 1 of only 33 high schools nationwide to receive this award for four consecutive years. 197 CCH students (39% of the school) are enrolled in STEM courses, Robotics, Animation, Graphic Design, and Computer Science in Fall 2021.

Clubs
40+ clubs and organizations are available to students at Covington Catholic, including Robotics, Colonels for Christ, Green Ambassadors, Stock Market Club, the Culture Club, Outdoor Pursuits, Spirit Club, and the award-winning Chamber Choir.
Athletics
- Student-athletes participate in 13 KHSAA sanctioned sports & 5 club/intramural sports.
- Approximately 66% of students participate on one or more sanctioned sports teams.
- Covington Catholic’s athletic teams have won 22 team state championships (5 different sports in the last 19 years) and multiple individual state championships in addition to over 175 regional team titles.
House System
New in 2018-19, every student is part of a multi-grade “Column” organization, which becomes his “home base” for activities, mentorship, and leadership.
Drug-Free Club
100% of the student body is enrolled in the Drug Free Clubs of America program as part of the mandatory substance abuse prevention program.
Colonel Crazies
The Colonel Crazies, the impressive, enthusiastic and coordinated student cheering section at CCH events, won the Most Spirited Student Section (2014 KHSAA Sweet 16).

Students have numerous fun traditions, including teaching the freshmen the cheers and fight song, “Hawaiian shirt Wednesdays,” SuperHike, Senior Bike Day, and wearing Christmas sweaters during Spirit Week.
