Today was the final day for the Holly Hill Christmas collection. Last year’s record for total collections was set with $2815 in donations. Well, this year we tried to break that record, but weren’t able to. Instead, we obliterated that amount and established a new record high of $4,320. The old record of $337 by a single homeroom was bested by three homerooms this year alone. Special recognition goes to Mr. Arnold’s homeroom for their $355 and third place finish.
Mr. Flesch has agreed to provide the second and first place homerooms with a free breakfast in January, as less than $10 separated their collection amounts. Mr. Durham’s $660.94 was edged out by Mr. McCoy’s $670.57.
Colonels, your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated. There are going to be some very happy children and families with great needs who will witness the joys and blessings of a merry Christmas thanks to you.
In recognition for your outstanding efforts, Mr. Rowe has given the students the privilege to be out of uniform all next week for exams.
