Juniors & Seniors

The College Process

Although a student builds his college application profile throughout all of high school, planning for one's college destination should begin no later than the junior year. It is recommended that students take the ACT and/or SAT tests in their junior year and may choose to retake them as Seniors. Once you take these tests, you will receive a lot of information from colleges and universities recruiting you to look at their campuses. Students are encouraged to be open minded and to explore the many opportunities not only of careers, but also the best fit for a school that will encourage the individual's success both academically and personally.

The Guidance Department has compiled a wealth of resources for you to utilize as you begin your journey to applying to college (scroll down further on this page). Students and parents are encouraged to meet with a Counselor to discuss any questions and concerns about the college application process.
