These scholarships are awarded to any 8th grader that takes the HSPT at Covington Catholic High School and earns a score that places him among the top 10% of all test takers at CCH. To be eligible for this scholarship, an eighth grader must be a registered member of a parish in the Diocese of Covington and he must take the HSPT on the designated Saturday in December as determined by the Diocese of Covington. Students enrolled in CCH’s feeder schools-St. Pius, St. Joseph (Crescent Springs), St. Agnes, Blessed Sacrament and Prince of Peace School- will automatically be mailed HSPT information in November. Any student attending another grade school may also take the HSPT at CCH but they should contact Mr. Barczak in the Guidance Department to receive HSPT registration information.
Financial Aid Scholarships
Applications for Financial Aid Scholarships are due no later than April 17th.
There are two different scholarship applications, the Nancy Holbrook Scholarship and Work Study Scholarships (which includes many individual specific scholarships) - see more below:
Senior Year Scholarships
This award is a one year scholarship equal to a year's in-Diocese tuition for a senior that has worked in the work study program the previous three years and has qualified for financial assistance for his senior year. Student must have completed some community service, be active in school through sports, intramurals or club activities, and maintain a C average or above GPA. This award shall go to one student and if any monies are left over, the difference will go to another deserving senior. No more than two seniors will receive this award in one year. The award will be selected by committee and no application is required.

This award is a one-year $1000 scholarship for a graduating senior who has demonstrated a commitment to academics (minimum 3.0 GPA), continuous involvement in extra-curricular activities, and employment experience. In addition, the recipient must exemplify strong moral character and high ambition for personal and professional growth. An application is required and forms are available upon request.
This award is a one-year $500 scholarship for a graduating senior who during his senior year was a member of the varsity soccer team. This scholarship shall be based on the recipient’s contributions to the varsity soccer team, team leadership, financial need, scholastic achievement and other relevant factors that the awarding committee shall deem appropriate. The recipient is selected by committee.
The first award is a one-year $500 scholarship for a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of U.S. History. This award goes to the student with the highest GPA in social studies courses.
The second award is a one year $250 scholarship for a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of U.S. History. This award goes to the student with the second highest GPA in social studies courses.
This award is a one-time $200 scholarship awarded to a golf player. The scholarship shall be based on the recipient’s leadership, determination, golf skills, courage, commitment and attitude. The recipient is selected by committee.
