Baseball Camp
Boys and girls entering the 1st thru 8th grades in the fall
DATEs: TBD
Where: The North Field (by the Tennis Courts) at Covington Catholic High School.
In the event of rain, camp will move to the gym!

The goal of the camp is to teach the fundamental skills that all athletes need to play the game of baseball. Each camper will be carefully instructed in all facets of the game: throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching and base running. There will also be competitions in these areas.
Camp Staff: The Camp Directors are Covington Catholic High School Head Baseball Coach and his Assistant Coach and the camp staff will be made up of current players.

Things to Bring Each Day:
All campers should bring a baseball hat, glove, baseball pants or sweat pants and a water bottle. Please put your name on all personal items. Bring baseball shoes and tennis shoes in case of rain.

REGISTRATION FOR 2023 BASKETBALL CAMPS IS NOW OPEN!
OVERVIEW:
Focus of Camps: Teamwork, Fundamentals, Hard Work
Camp Staff: The camp staff will be led by Covington Catholic Head Basketball Coach Scott Ruthsatz who will be assisted by other members of the CovCath coaching staff. Current and former Colonel basketball players will join the staff as well as being guest speakers on the proper fundamentals of basketball.
Camp Information:
- Camps led by past National High School Championship Asst. Coach
- Camp T-shirt & CCH basketball
- Participants should wear a t-shirt or jersey, athletic shorts, gym shoes
- Bring water bottle with name on it
- Camps held at CCH gym.
- Games may be played outside on blacktop. Please bring an additional pair of sneakers if needed.

This camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills of basketball as well as teach teamwork and good sportsmanship through various drills and games.

Entering Grades 7, 8, 9 in Fall 2023 - 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
This league is designed to give 7th, 8th and incoming 9th graders the opportunity to play in a summer basketball league under the guidance of Covington Catholic coaches. This league is a great way to meet new players from other grade schools in the area. Each participant receives a T-shirt.
This camp will include an optional open gym throughout June as well.

Get an introduction to Long Term Athletic Development with CovCath Director of Strength and Conditioning, Adam Atallah! We honor the 4 C's that every Colonel gets during their 4 years of High School at CCH: Camaraderie, Competition, Courage, and Confidence.
Over the 3 days, we will focus on introducing strength, power, speed, and games! We will be coaching kids (age appropriate) in resistance training and injury reduction, teaching how to jump, bound, sprint, and challenge them to different competitions. This is an experiential camp open for all athletes of all sports. Multi-Sport athletes are highly encouraged and should take advantage of this!
This camp is a great value as campers will take with them the knowledge and skills they learn at camp, as well as a workout band and t-shirt, so they can continue their athletic development at home. Campers will also get the opportunity to work with Varsity Athletes from multiple sports at Covington Catholic!

Place: Covington Catholic Wooten Stadium Soccer Complex in Dennis Griffin Stadium
Come experience championship soccer with the 2015 State Championship Soccer Program! The camp will focus on the development of individual skills, team tactics and strategies in order to develop the player individually and become an important member of the team. All campers will be placed in age appropriate groups.
Camp Staff: The camp staff will be made up of CCH soccer coaching staff and high caliber players from the CovCath Soccer Program.

It is taught by a current CCH Technology instructor who has many years’ working experience in this exciting field.

GRADE LEVELS: Boys and Girls entering 5th through 8th Grade in Fall 2023
The CCH Art Camp is open to boys and girls who enjoy art and want to improve their skills. It is taught by CCH art teacher Mr. Tim Haders and assisted by CCH art students. This week long camp will focus on the fundamentals of drawing and design. Students will use pencil, charcoal and paint. The week will begin with improving basic drawing skills by improving observations. By week's end, students will use improved skills to create bold Pop Art paintings.
Cost is $100 including supplies. No discounts apply. Space is limited.

SUMMER BAND OPPORTUNITIES
2023 LEARN A BAND INSTRUMENT (FREE)
This is the perfect opportunity for any student who has ever had a desire to learn to play an instrument.
It’s an awesome endeavor to learn a wind instrument and play with the CCH/NDA Band!
Students learning a second instrument are also welcome to attend. We have a number of school instruments for students to learn to play on in this VACATION BAND SCHOOL.

3-D MODELING CAMP: June 19-22, 2023
3-D Modeling Camp
Dates: MON-THURS JUNE 19-22, 2023

For: Boys and girls entering grades 5th through 10th in the Fall.
Cost: $89 per camper
Do you enjoy MINECRAFT or FORTNITE? Are you interested in creating 3-D ARCHITECTURE and new PRODUCTS? Then take your digital building skills to the NEXT LEVEL! Explore the world of DIGITAL 3-D MODELING in this fun-filled 4 days! It is taught by the CCH Design & Technology instructor who has many years’ working experience in this field, and we will likely have a few CCH student helpers as well. You will be involved in creating 3D renderings for fun (i.e. build a digital house!)..as well as build for product design (i.e. create a new product!). You’ll learn how to create impressive 3-D text, which can be used to spice up your presentations. Software we will dive into: Autodesk INVENTOR, SKETCHUP, ILLUSTRATOR, PHOTOSHOP and much more! Companies NEED talented 3D modelers to create renderings of their products and buildings…is this the field for YOU? You never know unless you try!

Come join Robotics camp! Taught by two licensed STEM teachers:
- A PLTW Middle School Master Teacher
- CCHS STEM Director and PLTW Middle School Teacher and PLTW High School Master Teacher
- High school robotics team members assist the campers.
No prior robotics experience is necessary. Each grade level will design, build, and program a different robot!
We’ll learn how to use VEX components, digital and analog sensors, and program with RobotC software.
Get ready for a competition! On Friday, students will compete in an arena style two-on-two competition! Family and friends are welcome to attend the Friday competition.

Talk about a fun & unique camp! PHOTOSHOP is absolutely amazing! It can do SO many different things. Can it allow you to create stunning graphics? Yes. Can you fix old family photos? Sure can. Can you create fun Animated GIF’s? Definitely. Can it create frame-by-frame animation? Uh-huh. Can it even edit video? Absolutely. What about 3D graphics? Yup. Can it help you create AMAZING presentations? Yes of course…there’s nothing else like it. This camp is taught by the CCH Design & Technology instructor who has many years’ professional experience in the field. Some of his clients have included: POKEMON, Major League Baseball (Yankees & Mariners), WWE Wrestling, Coney Island, Honda, Topps Inc., and many more. His (and his CCH design students’) work has even been featured on ‘THE VIEW’ and ‘THE TODAY SHOW’ tv programs. We will also likely be joined by a few of the CCH graphic design students who will be helping out. NOW is your chance to dive in and learn how much fun Photoshop is!

Academic Programs
ALGEBRA I HONORS FOR 8TH GRADERS
Covington Catholic and Notre Dame Academy are working collaboratively with Blessed Sacrament, St. Agnes, St. Joseph-Crescent Springs, and St. Pius X elementary schools to offer high achieving 8th grade math students the opportunity to begin their high school math requirements while attending their grade school.
The Algebra I Honors high school program is designed to enable these students to enter their feeder high school with an Algebra I H credit. Each student will earn a dual credit from either CCH or NDA as well as the grade school they are attending.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Students will be recommended by their current grade school based on teacher recommendations and standardized test scores. Enrollment in the program is limited in order to ensure each student receives proper support.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
Instructor: Mr. Tom Arnold, Mathematics Department Chairman
Cost: $450 for the two-semester class
Students enrolled in the program will meet the following guidelines:
- Attend class on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 7:15 a.m.-8:00 a.m..
- Follow the CCH calendar schedule, including inclement weather schedules.
- Put forth their best effort and complete all assignments to the best of their ability.
- Have a collaborative working relationship with their elementary school as well as their high school. Parents are asked to keep in contact with the instructor through the Edline program.
- Transportation of the student will be the responsibility of the student's parent or guardian. Parents from each school will typically form a carpool.
CLASS REQUIREMENTS:
- Scientific Graphing Calculator (recommended TI-83 or TI-84)
- Straight edge ruler and graphing paper
- Notes taken in ink with graded assignments done in pencil
- Students should come to class everyday with an inquisitive nature and desire to learn
