Boosters
Mission/Purpose of the Boosters
The Boosters Club was originally organized to support the athletic programs at Covington Catholic High School. The Boosters Club raises funds to improve and maintain our athletic facilities and to help with operating expenses which allows the school to field top-notch programs while keeping the cost to individual athletes to a minimum. The organization does not in any way involve itself in the administration or operation of any of the Covington Catholic sports programs, as this responsibility is entrusted to the schools’ Athletic Department.
The Boosters have evolved over the years, and their mission has become broader in scope to raise funds for the benefit of ALL Covington Catholic students even if not involved in the athletic programs. In fact, the Boosters made a pledge of over $800,000 to the capital campaign that built the new academic building in 2004. By making the second largest contribution to the building fund, the Boosters helped make the construction of the new academic building a reality.
In addition to this major contribution, the Boosters made a commitment of over $350,000 to help construct the Schott Center, and another $250,000 commitment for renovations. The new building features locker facilities for teams that previously did not have them, an additional weight room, coaches’ offices, a training room, batting cages, and public restrooms. This building is a tremendous asset to CCH athletics.
The Boosters are also largely responsible for raising the funds for the land acquisitions that were made by Covington Catholic in the past several years.
Membership
Every parent and friend of Covington Catholic can be a member of the Boosters. You are cordially invited to attend Booster meetings and participate in any project the organization runs. There are currently no dues to be a Booster
Fundraising Efforts
The Booster Club has made a large financial commitment to CovCath in support of several projects. Our fundraising is vital to the academic and athletic future of our school. We would very much appreciate your active participation in Booster fundraising activities, which include:
Bingo: Held every Thursday night in the gymnasium, year round except for Thanksgiving & Holy Thursday. This is a key part of our fundraising. If every family volunteered twice a year, our staffing needs would be complete. Please volunteer to help at Parent Orientation Meetings or as email notices are sent out. Golf Outing: Each fall on the Friday of Labor Day weekend at Summit Hills CC, the Boosters and Alumni co-sponsor a golf outing. Chair: Jerry Collins jerry.collins@Bilzinsurance.com
Back the Blue: This is a fun, social event held in the fall where parents and alumni can enjoy good food, drink, dancing and an opportunity to bid on silent and oral auction items. There are many opportunities to be a committee member, donate and/or solicit items, work at the event and setup/cleanup. You don't want to miss this major fundraiser for the school.
Colonel Stag: This traditional Stag is for all the men in our Colonel Community to enjoy a true "guys night out" without all the formality of past SportsFests. Colonel Stag will feature craft and domestic beers, bourbon, heavy appetizers, cigars, a Texas Hold'em Tournament and a Night at the Races - something for everyone. All Colonels in the Community are welcome!!

Concessions: The Boosters operate the concession stands during football, soccer, and basketball games.
Hall of Fame: Each year former athletes, coaches and contributors to Covington Catholic athletics are inducted into our Hall of Fame. While not a fundraising event, the Hall of Fame is a special part of the Booster's activities.
Radio/Internet Advertising: The Boosters solicit companies to advertise on local broadcasts and webcasts of Covington Catholic sporting events.
