LIFE’S 5TH QUARTER - December 30, 2017

On December 30th, the 5th Saturday of this month, Bishop Joseph Binzer of the Cincinnati Archdiocese will be our celebrant and leader of the prayer vigil. Mass is celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church 2422 Auburn Ave Cincinnati, near Christ Hospital and begins at 8:00 am.

The fifth Saturday Masses and Prayer Vigils for Life are sponsored by LIFE’S 5TH QUARTER. The goal is to tap into the enthusiasm that our youth demonstrate each January at the March for Life in Washington D.C. and to teach our youth the power of the best spiritual weapon available to us, outside the Eucharist, - THE ROSARY.

LIFE’S 5TH QUARTER is challenging our YOUTH to take ownership of these 5th Saturdays along with adult support to give JUST TWO HOURS once each Quarter of the year to pray for the end to abortion and to return our nation to a Culture of Life!

Jesus Christ tells us to take up our cross and follow him. It only requires JUST TWO HOURS of your time. Please join us and bring friends and family.
Visit www.facebook.com/lifes5thquarter for information or write Lifes5thquarter@mail.com.
Thank you.

MOM PROM REGISTRATION

Mom Prom Registration Form

Please  send in your “movie ticket” and payment to the office, attention Jojo Santos, or register online at www.covcath.org/momprom. Register early before price goes up or we sell out!

ONLY 11 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

For those of you who start your Christmas shopping early and like to shop from home, here is the CovCath link to Amazon.  You will still get credit for your purchases and so with CovCath.  Credits earned for the school are used to purchase non-budgeted items that are needed.  For example, the refrigerator in the faculty lunch room died this fall.  With the credits built up in the CCH account, the refrigerator was replaced at no cost to the school.  It is easy...just log into your account using the following link:

You are basically donating to the school at no cost to you!  This program is good year round.

MARCH FOR LIFE

Our school annually participates in the March for Life event in Washington D.C.  I have witnessed our level of participation having grown from 84 students in 2008, to 213 students last year.  Together with 11 parent chaperones and 8 faculty members, our five buses were part of a larger caravan totaling sixteen buses from the Covington diocesan high schools, parishes and youth groups to make this important journey.  Our Colonels represented nearly one quarter of the Diocese of Covington supporters.  (Click here for full letter & registration papers.)  Link to website page for:

https://www.covcath.org/campus-life/spiritual-life/march-for-life

The last day to turn in March For Life registration forms is Friday.  While payment can follow, all students must be registered by Friday, December 15th, so that the needed buses can be reserved.

Some partial scholarships are still available.  Students need to see Mr. Flesch to obtain an application.
