MOM PROM NEWS

As Mom Prom is quickly approaching, please make sure you sign up to attend.  This event sells out every year.  This year’s theme is Night at the Movies.  You and your son can come dressed as your favorite movie character, dressed to attend a movie premiere, dressed for the Red Carpet, or dressed in whatever you wear to go see a movie.  The cost is $50/couple and $15 for each additional son.  The cost will go up after January 13th.

ATTENTION SENIOR MOMS!!! Senior Mom will be performing a dance for our sons again this year.  It’s NOT too late to participate.  Practices are on Tuesdays at 7.30pm at Studio Dee.  The cost is $20.  We hope you join us.  If you missed on Tuesday, you can practice your steps by watching the dance on YouTube; search for Bridget Hay Mom Prom Dance 2018.

JANUARY LUNCH MENU

PARENT’S CLUB

Please join us in the faculty lounge on Tuesday, January 9th, at 6.30 for our monthly Parent’s Club meeting.

MARCH FOR LIFE

We have 180 students (19 Freshman, 35 Sophomores, 60 Juniors, 66 Seniors) registered to participate in our January 18th – 20th pilgrimage to Washington D.C.  So far, we have 6 committed faculty members, but are in desperate need of additional parent/adult chaperones at each grade level.

We will leave the school campus Thursday evening at 8:00, and return early on Saturday morning.  If you can participate, I can guarantee you several things.

One: this is a unique event and wonderful opportunity to see your son and his peers in a different light.

Two: you will have the opportunity to witness more than a half million people from around the country united for a worthy cause, and gain appreciation as to how precious all human life really is.

Three:  you will not get very much sleep, but likely not really miss it as you minister to these young men on this trek.

If you can arrange your schedule, and you are Virtus trained and compliant, please consider joining us in January.  Mothers and Fathers are invited to participate, as there are no overnight lodging issues.

I am hosting our “first timers” group meeting on Monday, January 8th, at 6:00 P.M. in the school chapel.  Plan to join us there and share whatever questions you may have.

I pray that each of you and your families may know Christ’s love during this Christmas season.

Ski Club NEWS

Our first outing on Wednesday was AWESOME.  The snow and conditions were perfect.  We had 30 boys ride the bus, and met many more Colonels on the slopes.   Our next scheduled outing in Thursday, Jan. 11, after school.  If your son is riding the one way bus to PNS, it’s $5.  He can drop it off to Mr. Holden or Mrs. Stengle before the outing.  He can drop off his equipment and ski clothes, in the gym entrance that morning.  If you signed up to provide snacks, please drop the snacks at the office that morning.  If you still want to help with snacks, please check out our online sign up sheet to add your name!
