Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - November 2nd Covington Catholic High School will have adoration with the Blessed Sacrament exposed during the school day every First Friday beginning after 7:10 am mass and ending at 3:00 pm in the Chapel. We are hopeful that parents, grandparents, alumni, benefactors, etc. will join us in praying for the young men at Covington Catholic. ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB ANNOUNCES HOUSEHOLD WASTE COLLECTION EVENT There is a Household Waste Collection Event on November 3 from 9am-2pm at the US Health Stadium in Florence. They are taking paint, oil, antifreeze, electronics, batteries, bulbs, etc. If you want to volunteer get on the website www.nkyhhw.org to register or to just check out more information and updates. Help keep the earth a greener place.

Three students just contacted me about this trip - originally planned for two summers ago. I contacted our tour company and the tour is available now. Enrollment details are on the website listed below. This tour includes all transportation, lodging, entrance fees, PLUS - breakfast and dinner every day! It is an incredible bargain for our students. Our departure date is May 27, 2019. We will visit Ireland, Wales, and England. Imagine exploring Irish castles, Welsh monasteries, Stratford on Avon, PLUS Dublin and London! These are just a few of the sights on this amazing 9 day tour. The tour cost is $3680 per student, $4130 per adult. No language barrier and only one currency to carry! IMPORTANT NOTICE: 1. Ski Club News – Passes Must be Purchased by Nov 12!! Perfect North Discounted Passes and the Bus Pass are still available online at Perfectnorth.com. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Club Login – choose Covington Catholic – our password is: showtime. If you have any questions about which pass to purchase or the round trip bus pass, please contact me. If you plan for your son to ride the bus, purchase the bus pass when you buy you ski pass – this is the lowest price for the bus ride. If you wait and pay later, the price goes up. ALSO - Please encourage your family and friends to buy their passes through our club login. Passes must be purchased by Nov. 12. The PNS SKI AND BOARD SWAP is this weekend at Perfect North. It starts this year on Friday evening from 5-8pm. Check their website for additional details. Go early for the best selection!! Our ski club sweatshirts will be in next week. March for Life update (January 17-19, 2019) March for Life registrations are slowly coming in. Students are reminded to sign up and pay online to secure a spot. Another two schools have contacted Mr. Flesch, asking for space on our buses if we do not fill the seats with Colonels. To date, we have 35 students registered. Let's not let that happen. A determination to invite other schools will be made within the next two weeks. Students wishing to apply for partial scholarships can see Mr. Flesch for an application. All registrations and payment are expected by the Thanksgiving break. Additional Parent Chaperones are needed. Please contact Mr. Flesch with your interest.

New Summer Mission Trip planned JUNE 9 – 15, 2019 CUMBERLAND, KENTUCKY (political unrest and danger continues in Nicaragua) Space for 60 missionaries Cost $750 per person, or $375 for any Adult chaperone who can provide transportation for self and at least 4 students. Adult chaperones with carpentry, construction, drywall, and/or painting expertise are needed. Work is primarily building or repairing houses of elderly or other persons in need. Staying at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Cumberland, KY. Daily Mass or prayer devotional. Faculty leaders Mr. Flesch and Mrs. Guard will host an informational meeting on November 15th, 6:00-7:00 pm, in the multi-purpose room.

NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE Indianapolis, Indiana - November 21-23, 2019
Attention Youth (grades 9 – 12) and chaperones! Time is running out to register for the diocesan pilgrimage to the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NCYC Pilgrimage will take place November 21 – 23, 2019, and will consist of a wide variety of opportunities for our young people to experience God and His Church. There are five general sessions presented by nationally known speakers, Mass on Saturday evening, one general session each morning and one each night until the conclusion of NCYC. In between the general sessions are workshops, an interactive thematic park for hands-on experiences and the opportunity to mingle with bishops, speakers and vendors, to take part in concerts, service projects, daily Mass, adoration, confessions, and have time to meet teens from all different walks of life. Space is limited, so register soon. The cost of $534 per person includes transportation, accommodations, meals, conference registration fees and a T-shirt. A down payment of $100 per person must be returned to the Department of Catechesis and Faith Formation by February 28, 2019 to reserve a place.
