Covington Catholic welcomes any parent or alumni that would like to donate their time to the school. It is through the generous participation of many volunteers that we are able to facilitate the fundraising events we do, coach the teams we have, offer guidance and professional support to the administration, and host the countless events that revolve around our students and staff.

Every year brings new families and alumni that want to be involved in the school, but are unsure of how to get started. Please click here to be re-directed to the volunteer form for upcoming events at CovCath. Review the list of opportunities available and complete the information indicating any area(s) you are interested in. Please return the form to the school office and the committee chairs will contact you and we'll get your started according to your time availability!

Please be aware that if you wish to participate in parish and school activities that involve the presence of children, you need to be trained and in compliance with the safe environment requirements (VIRTUS) in the Diocese . The Diocese of Covington requires that any volunteer that will be in the school while students are present, must be Virtus compliant. Mr. Rick Flesh is the CCH Virtus officer.

School Organizations

School Board of Education - serves as the advisory board to the School's administration. Please refer to the School Board page for detailed information on serving on the Board. There are various committees that are open to limited parental or alumni involvement, subject to approval of the Principal, including Marketing/PR, Building & Grounds, Finance, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Long Range Planning.

Parent's Club - is responsible for planning many of the receptions for our students and faculty, hosting After Prom, and staffs the school Spirit Shop. This organization needs many volunteers throughout the year and your involvement can range from sending in food when requested, being a server at an event, chairing one of the events, or being a worker in the Spirit Shop one or two days a month. All parents are encouraged to sign up for one of the Parent's Club needs. Club Meetings are held 1st Tuesday night of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the faculty lunch room. All parents are members and welcome to attend. Officer elections are held in April.

Booster's Association - All parents of a CCH student are members of the Boosters Association whether their son plays sports or not. While our Boosters subsidize many of our athletic program needs at the school, they also provide funds for several non-sports related school expenses. The largest fundraiser the school has is the CCH Bingo which is held in the gym every Thursday night. Every family is encouraged to work at least one shift of Bingo in each the first and second semester (must be 14 to work). Workers are also needed to staff concessions, gate sales, player food as well as serve on the planning committees of the Booster fundraising events including the Golf Outing, Back The Blue Night, Hall of Fame, and Colonel Stag (formerly Sportsfest.) Meeting dates to be announced. Officer elections are held in March.

Alumni Association - CCH launched its first formal Alumni Association in 2011 with a core group of alumni seeking to re-establish their relationship with their alma mater and friends of the past. The group is planning several social events including an Alumni Homecoming weekend, a Reunion Weekend for all reunion classes, and have monthly socials in the Griffin Alumni Centre. Whether you are a Golden Colonel or from the Class of 2014, we are looking for alumni of all ages with a spirit that will not die! Our emphasis is on 'friend-raising', not fund raising.

Administrative Help

Our teachers and administrative staff greatly appreciates having our 'Go To' list of volunteers that can help from time to time with typing and phone duties, when special projects/mailings come up or extended absences occur. Your help is appreciated either on an 'as need' basis, or can be a more regular commitment of once a week or once a month.

Our Development office is also in need of computer literate individuals that can assist with data entry in their office and commit time on a regular basis. With the many events that the school undertakes each year, organized individuals that enjoy planning and tending to details are greatly needed.

Even in these economic times, there are many opportunities for schools to receive free money from foundations and resources through grants. Covington Catholic is in need of individuals that have experience in grant writing to research and complete applications so that we have the opportunity to compete for these grants.

Professional Services

Covington Catholic is like any other business that relies on the services of professionals and suppliers to run our school and maintain our campus. These costs are a significant part of our student's tuition and budget.

We greatly appreciate any offer of service of your donated time or services at reduced costs (however, due to tax regulations, we cannot offer tuition credit in exchange for services). Here are some examples of needs that we have:
