CovCath Middle School Cross Country
Are you interested in joining the Covington Catholic Youth Running Program? The CovCath Middle School Cross Country team is open to incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys (for fall 2024).
START DATE: Our tentative start date is Monday, July 22nd.
PRACTICES (subject to change): We practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:15-7:30pm at the new Kenton County Park/former Fox Run Golf Course (on Independence Station road).
RACES: Meets are on Saturdays (late Aug-Oct 2024). . . with schedule to be determined.
COST: Registration fees are $75 per runner (uniforms will be purchased separately)

The Colonel Youth Running program offers a summer/fall cross country team, spring track team, and two-day winter track & field camp for grades 6, 7 and 8.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY (July-October)
Practices begin in mid-July, with the competitive season ending in mid-October, though additional postseason opportunities may be presented for top athletes. Led by former U of L athlete and CovCath alum Tim Franxman, the team meets for two weeknight practices plus Saturday morning races.
CO-ED TRACK & FIELD CAMP (January) - Registration Now Open!
The co-ed winter track & field camp is for both boys and girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Great for any young athlete or would-be athlete interested in exploring their speed and strength through sprints, jumps, hurdles or throws. This camp takes place on back-to-back afternoons around New Years, though single-day attendance is also an option.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD (March-May)
Practices are held two evenings a week plus Sunday afternoons, with meets often taking the place of a weekday practice. No prior experience necessary!
