The mission of Covington Catholic High School is to "embrace the gospel message of Jesus Christ in order to educate young men spiritually, academically, physically, and socially".
The faculty, staff and administration take this responsibility most seriously and our curriculum, facility, and daily activities reflect this commitment.
Curriculum
Students are required to study the basics of the Catholic faith, Sacred Scripture, Church History, and Morality, under the guidelines of the Diocese of Covington in conjunction with the Didache series of texts, as mandated by our bishop.
Spiritual and Service Opportunities
The Sacraments
Weekly Mass and twice-weekly reconciliation are available; the entire school attends a monthly Mass and twice per year penance service. Additionally, twice-weekly rosary services are offered.
Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is offered every 1st Friday of the month during school beginning with the end of Mass at 7:30am and ending with Benediction at 3pm.
Retreats
All underclassmen attend a “Day of Reflection” in the Spring
Seniors participate in a multi-day “Christian Awakening Retreat”
Sophomores may attend week-long (summer) retreat trip to Wyoming.
Community Service
100% of the Covington Catholic student body participates in community service each year, and can earn a varsity letter for service. 60 hours are required for graduation.
Other
Additional spiritual and civic experiences take place, such as a visit by the Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and a regional Naturalization ceremony.
