Our basketball camp was a huge success! From start to finish, our campers brought the energy, hustle, and a willingness to improve—and it showed on the court.
A big thank you to our incredible coaching staff and current players who helped lead the charge. Their dedication and enthusiasm made the experience both fun and impactful.
We saw tons of growth, tons of smiles, and a whole lot of basketball!
We hope to see all these young athletes back in the gym this season cheering on the Colonels—and one day, wearing that jersey themselves as future Colonels! 💙
Until next time… Go Colonels! @covcathhoops
Congratulations to Jackson Reardon who is the LaRoasa's MVP Featured Athlete. Committed to play baseball at UC, 4.3 GPA, and a leader on and off the field, this honor is well deserved! Congratulations Jackson!
Though missing much of this season with a back injury, one of Northern Kentucky’s best baseball players over the past few years has been Covington Catholic senior Jackson Reardon. He came back toward the end of this season to help lead the Colonels to a District 35 runner-up nish and was named to the district all-tournament team and the 9th Region all-tournament team.
An all-star shortstop, Jackson entered a promising senior season on the heels of a great junior campaign when he led the Colonels with a .463 average, with 36 RBI,15 doubles, six triples and three homeruns. He stole 20 bases and scored 47 runs to lead CovCath to a 31-6 record.
For his accomplishments, Jackson earned numerous awards, including being named NKAC Div. I Player of the Year, Northern Kentucky Player of the Year, Ninth Region Player of the Year and rst-team all-state.
An academic star (4.3 GPA) who is active in community service, Jackson also played a season of varsity football for the Colonels in 2023. He has committed to play baseball at the next level at the University of Cincinnati. His summer club team is the Midland Redskins.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and playing cards with his friends. His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Dansby Swanson, favorite entertainer is Adam Sandler, favorite book is Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and favorite movie is The Dark Knight.
“I have been very fortunate to coach many outstanding athletes in my 49 seasons as the CovCath baseball coach, and Jackson might be the finest young man of them all. He was an outstanding student in my Honors Biology class as a freshman, and won the starting shortstop job on the varsity baseball team as a freshman. His leadership is his best trait as his teammates voted him captain as a junior and a senior.” Coach Bill Krumpelbeck
Behind the Scenes: Summer Transformation at Cov Cath
While most students are enjoying summer break, an incredible transformation is underway at Covington Catholic—thanks to our maintenance team and the hardworking students in our work-study program.
Every year, these teams remove every item from every classroom, strip and clean the floors, wax them to a shine, and return all furniture and materials. It's a massive effort, especially in classrooms with extra equipment or storage—and they do it all with precision and pride.
At the heart of this operation are our work-study students, who arrive early each day to help maintain and prepare the school they call home. In return for their dedication, they receive tuition assistance through a program that helps make a Cov Cath education possible for families in need.
This coming year, over $640,000 in tuition assistance will be awarded, supporting roughly 20% of our students. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, no student has ever been turned away from Covington Catholic due to financial need.
We are deeply grateful to our donors, our maintenance crew, and—most of all—our students who are already hard at work helping to build the future, one classroom at a time.
